Nirvana - Sliver
Nothing can follow 1991's "Nevermind" by Nirvana, though their next effort was pretty solid. 1992's "Insecticide" has lots of the same grunge (The Melvins) elements, but isn't quite as dark as "In Utero". Sliver is a solid track, giving you a good idea of the transitional period the band was going through.
